“Hi Mr.Ricky, On behalf of both of us the Bride & Groom we would like to extend our kindest regards to you for playing your guitar from the heart and with the Spirit of Excellence. Our guests enjoyed the atmosphere you projected through your soulful melodies. Truly honoured that you played our Wedding Entrance Song. Our Emotions when we walked into the room was of Awe & Romantico. You brought happiness to the room why we continued to do our First Dance to your original piece. My family are Italian and you ignited their spark with the sound of acoustic guitar. We bless your talent & God given gift.” Yours Sincerely Mr&Mrs; Paul&Caroline; McAllion (Bride&Groom;) Mr&Mrs; Paul & Caroline McAllion - 20 November 2013

“My name is Keith Airey, I have been a professional guitarist for nearly 30 years. I studied at Leeds College of Music, I have played with many people including Nik Kershaw in the 80’s (3 years), Paul McCartney (sessions), Roger Taylor, Tom Jones (8 years), Pete Cetera (album), Don Airey of Deep Purple (my brother), Then Jerico, The Zombies (8 years), Colin Blunstone, Ian Anderson. plus many more and many sessions. Also I am the guitarist on Mamma Mia in London. I was in Auckland earlier this year (2012) at the Limon Waterfront restaurant in Auckland. A young guitarist started playing while we were there, and I was very pleasantly surprised. His name is Ricky de Medeiros. What a talent, very authentic Latin style, a proper talent I would say. He played number of songs unaccompanied, very gracefully and very musically. He seems to have a lot of good ideas. My partner Kerry Gallagher who has her own albums out, and recently recorded with Jazz Legend Jim Mullen, sat with him and sang a few tunes, and Ricky was great, really great. A natural who has worked very hard at his art. Very impressive young guitarist. Feel free to contact me. Put my name into Google to check my authenticity.” Keith Airey - 12 September 2012

“Recently we were very impressed to hear Ricky play at Alp Ice Café in HighSt. We asked him to play at our 50th birthday lunch celebration. We would highly recommend Ricky. Ricky is a talented musician, can select and play appropriate music for the occasion (in our case an instrumental selection as a background to our party rather than a performance demanding attention from guests). Ricky is professional, friendly and flexible and able to play for several hours with only short breaks. We found Ricky a pleasure to work with, and within our budget. Again, we would highly recommend him. Feel free to contact me if you have any queries.” Penny Cliffin Penny Cliffin - 8 October 2012

“Ricky played for us on a weekly basis for about 3 months straight, and we loved every performance. He created a laid back, chilled Sunday environment that our customers really appreciated. I would have no problem at all recomending Ricky to any venue that is looking for a skilled musician, and something just a little bit different. Please feel free to contact me on 021783421 to hear more.” Shane McDonagh General Manager – Malt Bar Shane McDonagh - 14 March 2016
